I've had this problem too.

I found that when I connected, I seemed to be connecting via two different routes. Something in DIIOP seems to be redirecting my first connection to the second address.

I changed my order of hosts in my IIOP Site document to put the public hostname first, and this has solved the problem.

Would be reassurring if someone at Lotus/IBM could tell us what is going on here too...
